There are two ways to register for the MCPA 2008 Professional Development Institute – Building Successful Careers: Leadership for Student Affairs Professionals. One method is online with a credit card, echeck, or bank transfer. The other method is through postal mail with a check.
Online Registration and Payment
Step 1 – Download the Registration Form (word file) from the link above
Step 2 – Fill out the Registration Form and save the file
Step 3 – Email your Registration Form to Amy Karaban (akaraban@umd.umich.edu)
Step 4 – Go to the Registration Payment page, click on the appropriate registration type, and follow the instructions for submitting your payment. There is an additional $2 fee for online payment processing costs.
After your registration form and payment are matched up, you will receive an email confirming your registration.
Registration by Mail and Payment by Check

Step 3 – Write a check payable to MCPA for the appropriate amount (See Registration Fees)

Keynote Speaker Dr. Ron Wright
Dr. Ron D. Wright has served since August 1997 as president of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in Cincinnati, OH, where he has focused on workforce development and introducing a new information technologies division and curricula.
Wright holds a Ph.D. in public policy and management from Cornell University; a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Antioch University; a bachelor’s degree in applied psychology from Pepperdine University; and an associate’s degree from Northeastern Christian Junior College.
Wright has over 30 years experience in community college administration in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Ohio. His experience in public policy development and implementation has led to prominent positions locally, statewide and nationally. In Ohio, he has served on the Governor’s Workforce Policy Board and Commission for Student Success. He is a current member of the Governor’s Commission on Higher Education and the Economy.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges and on the organization’s Commission on Program Initiatives and Commission on Academics, Students and Community Development. He also was elected to the board of directors of the National Commission for Cooperative Education.

From Detroit: I-96 West to US 127 North. Exit Trowbridge Rd. (Exit 9). Take Trowbridge Rd. approximately one mile to Harrison Rd. Take a left on Harrison Rd. Follow past the Breslin Center (right hand side). Brody Complex will be on the left, the Kellogg Center Parking Structure will be on the right. Parking is available in the Kellogg Center Structure, but is not free. Approximately 90 miles from Detroit.
From Grand Rapids: I-196 East towards Lansing to US 127 North. Exit Trowbridge Rd. (Exit 9). Take Trowbridge Rd. approximately one mile to Harrison Rd. Take a left on Harrison Rd. Follow past the Breslin Center (right hand side). Brody Complex will be on the left, the Kellogg Center Parking Structure will be on the right.
