There are two ways to register for the MCPA 2008 Diversity Summit. One method is online with a credit card, echeck, or bank transfer. The other method is through postal mail with a check.

Online Registration and Payment

Step 1 – Download the Registration Form (word file) from the link above

Step 2 – Fill out the Registration Form and save the file

Step 3 – Email your Registration Form to Rosio Suarez ( rsuarez@umich.edu)

Step 4 – Go to the Registration Payment page, click on the appropriate registration type, and follow the instructions for submitting your payment. There is an additional $2 fee for online payment processing costs.

After your registration form and payment are matched up, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Registration by Mail and Payment by Check

Step 1 – Download the Registration Form (word file or pdf file) from the links above

Step 2 – Fill out the Registration Form

Step 3 – Write a check payable to MCPA for the appropriate amount (See Registration Fees)

Step 4 – Mail both the check and your registration form to Rosio Suarez 915 Sybil, 002 Fletcher, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MI 48109-3298.

After your registration form and payment are received, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Speaker & Presenters

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Thomas Abowd

Dr. Thomas Abowd has been involved in a number of scholarly and activist projects related to the Palestine-Israel conflict and anti-racist education over the last 20 years. His latest research project relates to the class and racial encounters between Arabs and African-Americans in contemporary Detroit. The project is funded by the Humanities center at Wayne State University, where Abowd is Assistant Professor of Anthropology.


Directions & Parking

From the north ( Traverse City) :
Head south on US-131. Take I-196 East toward Lansing. Exit at College Avenue (exit 78). Turn right onto College, then turn right (west) onto Lyon Street. Take Lyon to Ransom, then turn left on Ransom. The Bostwick Parking Ramp will be on your right.

From the south ( Kalamazoo):
Head north on US-131. Exit at Wealthy Street (exit 84-A) and turn right on to Wealthy. Take Wealthy to Lafayette. Turn left onto Lafayette. Go to Lyon Street; turn left on Lyon and go to Ransom. Turn left onto Ransom. Enter the Bostwick Parking ramp on your right.

From the west (Holland/Muskegon):
Take I-196 east. Exit at College Avenue (exit 78). Turn right onto College, then turn right (west) onto Lyon Street. Take Lyon to Ransom, then turn left on Ransom. The Bostwick Parking Ramp will be on your right.

From the east ( Lansing, Detroit):
Head west on I-96. Next take I-196 west towards downtown Grand Rapids / Holland. Exit at Ottawa Avenue (exit 77-C). Turn left onto Michigan street, heading east. Take Michigan to Bostwick Turn right onto Bostwick. Enter the Lyon St. Parking ramp on your right.

Parking Information
As a downtown urban campus GRCC has limited on campus parking. During peak times (Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) on-campus parking is at capacity. We offer many alternate parking options to ensure easy access to campus. For additional information follow this link Click Here
